As a long time business owner and independent contractor, Leah Masci has had a varied career in Web Development and Project Management.

Hired in 2011 for a temporary, part time position with New England Public Radio, she is enjoyed a brief stint with NEPR as a  Webmaster/ Graphic Designer.  In addition to holding a BA in World History, from Smith College, she enjoys problem solving, creative thinking and has seven years of experience in all aspects of Web Development and Search Engine Optimization.

Leah specializes in Drupal and WordPress Development and Graphic Design. She has managed projects and built websites for The Botanic Garden of Smith College Asian Gardens of the 1920's Museum Exhibit, Hershey's, Miller-Coors, The Collaborative for Educational Services Emerging America Project, and The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

In the summer of 2007, she organized the 300 member Northampton Web Developers Meet-up Group which meets for informal discussions, geek bbq's, presentations and workshops. The group aims to bring together small business owners, free lance IT persons, and instructors to share information and learn from one another through an informal learning model based on collaborative knowledge building. 

For Leah, this group has been more than just a way to bring people together to keep up to speed on a myraid of topics in a quickly changing field.  It has also been a sort of Laboratory to explore a model of collaborative knowledge building that maximizes social trends toward hive behavior and has led to the development of high quality open source programs like Drupal.
